MEAN STREETS was formed in 2007, founded on the concept of putting together a band that plays for people that love songs from the Motown / Soul era; music that is high energy and makes people want to dance. Original members included Danny LoCascio, Joey Green, Umberto Cappellini, Andy Schwarz and James Hersey. The band has gone through member changes, but maintains the original band concept and theme of high energy, recognizable dance music from the Motown/Soul music era. Their original compositions are written in this same style.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Danny grew up in the musical era of the 60's and 70's where his musical influences took root. He has been working as an information technology teacher in international schools around the world, such as Morocco, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and now Vienna. He practices his passion for music with MEAN STREETS and a new formation called DANNY CHICAGO AND THE THE LUCKY BAND.

Joey Green (Sänger/Klavier) kommt aus New York, wo er im Alter von 16 Jahren zu singen begann. Im Jahr 2000 zog Joey Green nach Wien.  Seine rauchige Stimme und sein kraftvoller leidenschaftlicher Ausdruck sind die perfekte Ergänzung zu der talentierten Formation vonzuerst "Mean Streets" und ihrem vielfältigem Repertoire und danach "RayVille  And The Music Of Ray Charles". Kevin McManus was born and raised in New York City. Kevin has lived in Vienna for over 20 years. He has played drums for many projects around Vienna. His style is perfect for Blues, Swing, Rock, Rockabilly and Country. 

Geboren 1988. Klarinetten- und Saxophonunterricht an der städtischen Musikschule Floridsdorf. Ab 2006 Studium Instrumental(Gesangs)pädagogik - Hauptfach Saxophon Popularmusik bei Martin Fuss und Klaus Dickbauer an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Wien. Seit 2010 Unterrichtstätigkeit an den Wiener Volkshochschulen. Auftritte mit verschiedenen Formationen im In- und Ausland. Referenzen: Oskar Klein, Jon Evers, Blue Note Six, Riverside Stompers, kons.wien.jazzorchester, RayVille, Royal Flush Orchestra, Sigma big.dance.band, J.J. Capone etc.

Paul was born in Warsaw but has lived in Austria since 1989. As a teenager, Paul started listening to and playing blues, rock and jazz.  Major influences on his style came from Weather Report, Miles Davis and Steve Ray Vaughan. Paul’s work can be heard on CDs. He’s performed in hundreds of concerts, sharing the stage with stars like Tony Levin, Steve Lukather, Terry Bozzio, Pat Mastelotto and Allan Holdsworth. He has collaborated with Phil Guy, Bob Brozman, Abi Wallenstein and Doug MacLeod. Paul continues to hone his craft and has been studying jazz at Vienna Conservatory since 2007.
